Why map photos to a floor plan

Folders named after the job number or the week do not tell a reviewer which room a photo belongs to. Mapping photos to a floor plan, pin by pin, is photo documentation by location. The spatial trail stays with the evidence.

Steps

1. Load the plan. Import a floor plan, roof plan, or site map. That drawing becomes the organizing layer for every photo.
2. Place waypoints. Mark rooms, zones, elevations, or points of interest directly on the drawing.
3. Pin photos. Capture or upload photos at each waypoint. The image inherits that location the moment it is attached.
4. Add notes and documents. Moisture logs, punch notes, and PDFs belong at the same pins as the photos they describe.
5. Walk the plan, then export. Review room by room. Export a PDF photo report that keeps the spatial trail intact.
